so what is the normal entry fee for 7.0 class. There is 3 for sure races i could attend, maybe a 4th out of the remaining races. Im not interested in the points portion.

Is friday a required day or just another day of qualifying?

NDRA took a shit on all of the sport compact racers and officially cancelled the rest of the season so you guys are the next best thing aside from the remaining 2 or 3 sport compact races in the area through the rest of the year.

Out to get ya.

well what would you like me to call it, its not exactly a series created for SC...because if it was then i would have been gladly racing locally with orsca a long time ago. I know its Index racing but say I started running 6.0 or 6.1's, I cant exactly enter that class because my car is close to 1000 pounds under weight. I'm being logical in my statement.

Out to get ya.

Oh yeah, Friday is just test and tune. Totally optional, but if weather or time looks to be a factor on Saturday we sometimes do not have time trials on Saturday. 3 qualifying shots is our goal.

Anything other questions ?

In another thread...folks are complaining about dwindling car counts, etc.....but here is a guy who is looking for a place to race and seems to want to be a part of ORSCA (albeit perhaps not a points contender...which is subject to change)

I am wondering, how many of the regulars (in 6 or 7.0) would have a problem with a 4 cyl car running beside them in competition??

there very well may be others in the future. 1/8th mile has never been a thing that sport compact people do obviously but i kind of enjoy it when its at a decent facility because you break less stuff in theory. You are right, I need a place to race, and we are running out of them in our genre. there is only 2 decent organizations currently putting on races around the country.

ORSCA has some good races coming up in the back half of the year and I think you will enjoy racing the 7.0 class. This class has a bunch of good drivers and will help in any way that they can. I am pretty much the Duck of the class so I just go to have fun,  hope to see you at the next race and bring some of the other Import guys with you the more  cars the better the racing.

P.S. Just click on the rule section and make sure you guys are legal, I don't want you to make the trip for nothing. Ray is our tech guy and he will answer any questions you might have.

I am planning on the SGMP race, the huntsville race, and the montgomery race.

the macon one is on the same date as a SC race, its a lot farther away so i may still just come to the macon one.

As far as i know im legal, my tire size is legal, i have all of my front interior and rear paneling minus seats. I have all the safety stuff.

Out to get ya.
