| this is not made to piss everybody off, but has anyone followed BILLY GLIDDEN's career? Everybody acts like he is the new kid on the block. Look at what he has done for the last 15 years. People need to understand that modern drag racing is about effeciency not the 900 ci motor. every one runs an automatic, Glidden runs a Liberty. some of you may not know what this is. do you remember when the nmca ran billy out because his sbf was beating everyone else. here is a question for you; if you needed race heads for a sbf who would you get to build them? effeciency people...get out of the dark ages. he will keep chopping everyone down. does anyone remember when he would show up at nmca races, other racers would go home... i welcome your comments... |

It's drag racing... anything can happen on any given day! With that said I believe Glidden may be a bit more consistent than Hall. Which will lead many to wager their funds in favor of Glidden. But I most definitely will not count Mr. 5speed out...
Glidden has said that he will more than likely show up on 10.5's instead of the big tires. He has been 4.20's on the 10.5's. Hall has posted quicker times...
We shall see...

Billy is very good with his set up.Remember he probably on weighs 2000 or so lbs.
I may even come see this one.
*Bean,Have a 4.30 or a 4.20 heads race the same day.

| What makes the difference is Billy has been working with clutches since he was 5 years old and was trained by the "MASTER". Being a dyed in the wool Chevy man I used to hate Bob Glidden till I grew up and realized just how good he really was. |

I am a chevy man for racing but a ford man for towing . I don,t know what that means. I also love an clutch car , just wish that I knew a lot more about clutches and tuning them .
I guess I had better learn more by oct 19th .

I remember seeing him tring to run Pro-Stock but he didnt make the field most of the time. I have nothing against him but I just seems to me that when the playing field is equal he didn't impress me much. Sure he is a bad man, if not the baddest, with a SB. I know people are going to say he was just testing for MT, but it seems like they wouldnt get him to be their guy, unless they had faith in him running quick enough to impress would be customers. D.O.C. you cant remembr yesterday, needless to say years ago. LOL!! |

He did qualifly at some,NHRA PS is a whole different deal.
You have to have a great motor with horse power,then the complete deal,chassis,clutch,gear ratio's,and motor perfect to be competitive.
He was just testing for MT,with a mule motor more than likely.
I thought he did pretty good. |

(L) Billy Glidden - 4.143et - 174.12mph (**WINNER**)
(R) Darrin Hoyle - 4.282et - 169.04mph
Hoyle takes his shot at the tree with a .027 to .154 bulb, but it is nowhere near enough as Glidden lowers the ET record yet again to take the Dragstock win!!!

| There is always one comedian on this website who justifies BG ACTIONS..I drive a FORD MUSTANG and i won't! Your right he can't run with pro stock because he can't change the rules..They don't kiss his a..! Any racer out there who commits to his actions - shouldn't..He needs to take his whipping like everybody else and stop this nonsense..when he races a fair race like everybody else does ,then i will respect him for being one of the great racers like i used to..BG YOUR S... IS GETTING OLD..All racers should take a stand and not race him with those rediculous weights . He want bend and you'll shouldn't either..he isn't GOD! |

We certainly did not accomplish what I wanted in prostock, but the end was not my decision, I was sued by the guy who owns dart. I feel we were making decent strides, and I finally got my head from my a.. and started working with the car. I think how it works now is proof of how we were gaining. | Torrez, I dont personally know BG, but I admire what he does with what he has. If they give him a weight rule that is beneficial, then whats wrong with that? BG correct me if I am wrong, but the engines you were using in the pro stock deal were 5 year old technology when you got them or so? And if he can qualify with older technology, imagine what he could do with new technology. Love him or hate him, BG is a bad dude. A man that can take a small block, and run low 4 teens in the 1/8 mile on a 10.5 tire is doing a hell of a job. I been there and worked on cars with that size tire, and its not easy. I wish I knew half of what BG forgot over the years. I am by no means a NH unless its a yellow twin turbo 69 camaro, but you cant say that BG is not the baddest man on a 10.5, if not one of the baddest in all of drag racing. |

| Thanks so much! What is somewhat amzing, is that all these folks who are judging are not any names I am familiar with? It does not matter who it may be, lynch, blackmon, newsham, kirk,hill, hall, these folks are all doing alot with what they have, if it were easy, then we would all be winning every weekend. To be a true fan, you have to have respect, whether you like someone or not, the racers may be somewhat cold at times, but I can attest, that the guessing we do is not all that easy, and in fact we spend alot of time trying to find what we had at some time lost.
