Thanks to Joe Newsham and crew for showing some of the best sportsmanship you could ask for. Tim Lynch and crew had a battery problem in the semis just as they were ready to pull the car to the line. We asked Joe if he wanted to wait and he said he came to race. Joe waited 15 minutes or so for Tim to get their car fixed and to the line. Joe and crew are a class act and we are proud to have them in ORSCA this year!

| congratulations to tim lynch and crew for a good job, is 15 minutes the new time limit to be ready to run in the staging lanes? I am just trying to find out if the 3 min rule has been changed. |

| The rule is 2 minutes. ORSCA rules could be 3 min. But if the driver of the other team dont mind waiting on the other people having problems, most of the time the track official will let the other driver have more time. |

Anthony, I am not sure if you were being serious or not but here is the deal. The ORSCA rule is 2 minutes, Newsham was told he could run after the 2 minutes. If he had wanted to run then he would have been the winner.
What you couldn't hear was me on the radio telling Ellen to tell them hurry hurry every 30 seconds and to make sure Tim was suited up, strapped in,tires checked and ready to go straight to the line when they came around, which they were.
It was a CLASS MOVE by the entire NEWSHAM team and I would hope no one would want to tarnish that with any hints of favortism from ORSCA officials. |

First of all, it was just a question. I was not at all being pissy.
Nothing against the Lynch or Newsham team.
To DDS Racing, I don't know who you are, but apparently, you have never been around me at the track or you would know my personality.
Since I always get my ass whooped, pull your car up to the line any day of the week and we'll see who gets whooped! |

| I can say personally that Anthony New has always been nothing but nice and friendly to me. Whether or not he wins has nothing to do with his character. |

Ellen, you are exactly right. Joe Newsham and Team J & E would rather run head first into a brick wall than leave a race knowing he didn't give his opponent his best shot at him, win or lose. As a good friend of Joe's, he is like this anywhere and am proud to know he sticks by this all the time. Joe has shown this respect to other acers as have they in his career. |
