Can you use a "stock appearing" dash or does it have to actually be a stock dash? I am specifically talking about a mustang and would like to use the carbon aftermarket dash like you can get from skinnykid.

Interior Full
interior required. This includes stock dash and dash pad, , carpet,
headliner, door panels and both front seats in stock location. Rear
seat is optional only if area under it is carpeted. Dash pad may be
notched for roll bar clearance. Nitrous bottles in passenger area are
allowed and must have approved safety vent to outside.
This is the way the rule is written

If you read the rule and then look at the cars, it is unclear. I know that there are several cars that run some type of aftermarket dash, but if you read the rules exactly as they are written, it appears that it is not allowed. As a matter of fact- if you read that rule EXACTLY as it is written- it says that you have to have the stock seats and they have to be in the stock location. Obviously an aftermarket "stock appearing" dash is not a performance advantage, and still retains the "look". Maybe there could be an addendum to the rule to accomodate everyone. It's difficult to use a stock dash around all the bars in a 25.5 or 25.2 and still make it look good and be easily removed if necassary. I understand not wanting aluminum dashes or dashes that look nothing like the stock dash, but the aftermarket dashes that look just like the stock dashes.................????????? Just a suggestion! |

if read EXACTLY as written it says "stock dash and dash pad[COMMA] ,CARPET,HEADLINER,DOOR PANELS AND BOTH FRONT SEATS IN STOCK LOCATION, no where after the first comma does it say stock till you get to location of seats and why would you want a removable dash, to your second part in a street type class, the more it gets less street, the more it get less street and more race, just my .02 bob |

| The rules are what they are. Every car that's been 4.90s has had an actual stock dash in it, so you can run one too. |
