I am currently running in 6.0 car 67Z and I have a few questions to help clarify whether my car can be put back to run the modified street class. Currently today I have a 67 Chevy II that has all the original frame rails but the rear has been notched to accommodate a 29 1/2 tire 12 inch Rim and removed the factory tubs for aftermarket wheel tubs. It currently has ladder bar and coil over that I am going to remove and replace with stock suspension to go back under it. It has all the original floor pans and trunk. The front end has the stock frame rails with aftermarket control arms that are mounted in the original locations but the Coil over do not mount in the original locations meaning that the towers have been cut out. So, that is the back ground and here are the questions.

In the rear,

Can I move the leaf springs and cal-trac inside the frame to accommodate for the tires? e.g. instead of the middle of the frame, place to the inside of the frame?

  Do the coil overs have to mount in the original holes?

  Can we utilize aftermarket wheel tubs or do I have to put factory?

In the front

            Do we have to utilize the factory shock towers are can we re-locate the coil over?
