South Georgia Motorsports Park decides to postpone all Heads-Up Havoc Events until 2009. With so many major events happening in the southeast we just thought it best not to compete at this time with so many other tracks. General Manager Tim Fleming stated "That we should not put minimum car counts on the classes its just not fair to the racers". At this time SGMP will start putting together next years Havoc series, together with new sponsors, points funds and giveaways. We would like to thank all the racers that supported the Havoc series. We will back in 2009 and and hope you attend. Please check out the website for updates at www.sgmp.com. Again thank you for your understanding in this difficult decision. I can understand not doing Septembers race but, nothing is going on in November the weekend of that race. It's going to be a long Winter!

I was just letting Jon know about a place to race that weekend. "Since he is Mr. Open Comp" LOL.... I completely understand ya'lls decision from a business standpoint. I also applaud the decision to not put a minimum car count on the purse. I look forward to running these events in 2009 and also hope everything works out with a points series, funds and giveaways like you have mentioned. I'll be there!!!

Open Comp race in Reynolds the weekend after the bracket finals..... looks like its the 18th.in reynolds, thanks for the heads up on o/c, WOULD RATHER RACE @ sgmp ! oh well looks like we will be going there soon. sgmp will have it all together next year !, i was told they were not going to do anything (6.0 /7.0/ open comp etc..) untill next year, i think they were just testing the waters to see the turn out this year. keep an eye on the site & thanks for comming out to play with me jon anderson
