I have noticed here lately that so many top notch racers are selling their racecars. First we see one of the baddest xtf cars for sell, then i see Hoyle is selling all of his stuff including what i think was the badest limited street car on earth, and now the fastest quickest nitrous outlaw car Strivinos corvette. Is this the sign of the time?

The economy just plain sucks. People who do have money in the banks, stock, and bonds are losing it due to low intrest rates. Right now you would be better off burrying your money in a mason jar than trying to put it in the bank. I don't think its totally due to fuel either, it just gets blamed. So many of us try to live outside of our means and we got so use to having trmendous debt (financing everything we buy) that when something such as fuel goes up it puts too much of a strain on us financially. Right now our business is very slow, but we are surviving. 90% of businesses are down from this time last year.

I think you will see more and more people step back from racing for a little while until the economy levels out.

Look at this listing on racing junk and you will see other cars and even a 632 for sale BUT I highly doubt that Darrin is leaving racing. I believe that he along with the VIP crew that was referred to are just doing inventory control and will probably see both ramp up their efforts with present cars or NEW rides altogether. The Cobalt is a former Ricky Smith ride from Bickel. Darrin has been racing other venues such as ADRL, Big Dog,and Quick 8.

ALL these cars are Top Shelf items ready to race NOW!!!

The red 69 is two time ORSCA LS Champion and multiple Civil Wars Winner!

Just a business decision I am sure from both parties.

Appears to me that this is a perfect opportunity in all three cases for someone looking to step up and do it without the usual hassle of working out the bugs since these cars are the REAL DEAL!!!

Times are changing somewhat but it is not the end of the road, if we continue to put forth the effort it takes in searching for the right combination a door will open, and success is just around the corner or maybe the answer is right in front of us.

When all else fails and we find ourselves down and out look up and seek the answer!!!

The price of gas/diesel/oil isnt really changing.  It's the value of the dollar compared to the rest of the world bouncing up and down.  When the dollar is strong gas is cheap, when it's weak you find yourself pumping 95 dollars worth of gas in a pick up truck!!!

A lot of the ADRL cars are changing hands because this class is moving extremely fast. These cars need to be rethought a little and if you want to be on top you have to do it. I dont think most people thought they would be running teens this early. I know Hoyle is stepping up, not out. With that being said, it is sad to see some of these grass roots guys leaving limited and outlaw, but thats the way it goes. Times are hard right now.

I am willing to bet that there are more than a few new cars being built right now by current racers as well as a few new faces in different classes.  When one or two guys decide to step down, there is always someone else ready and willing to step up to fill the void.
