| Car is 93 notchback. I have a MSD Digital 6 box, msd blaster hvc coil and msd distributor. I just replaced the digital 6 box about 2 weeks ago when this problem first started, so Im assuming its fine. I was driving the car last night and it just died. Tried starting it back up, turns over but just acts like there is no spark. Trailered the car home and unloaded it. My dad took off one of the plug wires, held a piece of wire in the plug wire and put the other in about 1/2 inch from the header, created a spark and the car fired up so I pulled it up on the carport and shut if off. He put the wire back on and it wont fire again. I have already taken the module off the dizzy and had it checked, checked fine. With the car running fine with him creating the spark with a piece of wire, it makes me think that it isnt the box, coil or dizzy. Any ideas? |

| if i was you, i would replace the module and stator in the distributor. i had a similar issue. MSD 6AL,MSD coil and MSD Pro Billet Distributor on my 87 hatchback that would die driving down the road and had no spark when tryng to restart. let it sit about 10 minutes and it would start fine. module and stator fixed it. Ford parts cross over to MSD and will work fine and better i think. |
