Johnny said 4 second passes were to fast for the sponsors, that is why they changed the EZ rules. What are they going to do now? Feel free to voice your opinion about any class. I think ORSCA needs to see it.

Problem with ORSCA is ORSCA and Johnny Finn....No parity in classes and the attitude of "if its not broke dont fix it".....They do not uderstand the practice of being proactive, just reactive. All racing is suffering now due to fuel, you need all the cars possible in each class. Why would races come to races that they know they have no chance in winning? Outlaw is a turbo only class, EZ is dominated by acouple cars, and Limited is....well is just Limited... My .02

Now Johnny watch what you say about people, they may not be able to afford to race anymore, but they may still read. You know I built another car. You changed the rules, I couldn't afford to change with them, I got mad, car got sold, Ricky Presley got a great deal on a car and so on. I would love to race again, but I could never afford the NEW L/S nor does it appeal to me like the original L/S. I miss the wheelies!!!! Thanks for remembering me Josh, I sure miss it!! My kids are pretty much dominating kart racing around here now and we've been having a good time with that (the rules stay the same year after year and if someone try's to cheat or stretch the rules they disqualify them, instead of changing the rules so they can add another car to the feild). I'm finishing up a 70 camaro with a turbo on it for the street (my rules). Later, Bryan

Josh, Not to worry, at the rate the Premiere 10.5 racers are leaving for ADRL Extreme 10.5, the Limited Strret class will be the premiere class for ORSCA soon! Eddie Rogers has his 02 Camaro ready to play in Limited with twins now but a construction accident has sidelined him with two broken arms for awhile, but he will be out soon!

In it was this early look at the 2002 Camaro that car owner Gil Mobley and driver Chuck Ulsch campaigned in the Outlaw 10.5 wars last year. Not one to miss subtle changes, though, your Agent immediately spotted the BAE 526 fitted with a screw blower sticking through the hood. Your Agent was thrilled to learn Mobley and his Maryland-based minions are stepping up to ADRL Extreme 10.5 competition this weekend as they enter their home-state 1-800-GO-GUARD.com U.S. Drags at Maryland International Raceway. Apparently the Camaro's new combo went an early shut-off 4.71 at 146 mph its first time out last Friday after the blower pulley broke 3.20 into the run (right). Your Agent later heard unconfirmed reports the car dipped into the 4.30s in subsequent testing after repairs were made. Your Agent knows these guys. Jack the article doesn't say anything about the Mobley car running ADRL full time. The race is in his homestate, he would be a fool not to give it a try. I have spoken to Gil before and he told me his decison not to run ORSCA this year was motivated by the travel and travel expenses. Not anything against ORSCA. The only other 10.5 "stars" to run ADRL are Kirk and Hill. I have read Kirk doesn't own the car he drives and I know for a fact Mike Hill doesn't own the car he drives. So if you want to get to the bottom line, the ONLY ORSCA regular from the past year or so that has sold or is trying to sell their car (publicly) and spend their own money on an ADRL car is Todd Moyer from Texas. While i will be the first to admit there is some disparity in 10.5 right now, it has not reached its deathbed as many internet posters would lead you to believe. I describe it more like at a crossroads. I am willing to bet that if a turbo or blower car were to start dominating ADRL XTF there will be the same controversy there. Nobody likes to go to a race with little chance to win and it has become the norm in our society to blame everybody but themselves. The big block nitrous cars wanted the 3000 lbs and nothing less rules when they dominated. Now that attitude/stance has come back to haunt them. So now it is "ORSCA's " fault. And no I am not a Johnny Fenn nuthugger.. i totally disagree with the decison to allow bolt in or weld in front subframes in Limited or Outlaw, but that doesn't make him or ORSCA a bad race organization.

Wade, you may not know that I was once on 10.5 racer Tim West's team from the beginning of ORCSA and we rode out the rise just like the Limited guys are doing until the cost's got out of hand. It was fun and like ADRL it will reach a point too. I was just stating an obvious fact as the classes progress from past experience. Hell I'm on an Extreme Pro Mod Team now and you talk about cost! Racing is fun as long as you can afford to compete at any given level then when you can't keep up with cubic dollars it get's to be a drag in any class. The sanctioning body's all have a part to play in the longivity of any given class by helping control cost's to some degree, but the inevitable eventually comes. Don't mistake my post's as a slam on ORSCA, I truly love Outlaw Racing whether Street Car or Pro Mod, but the facts are the facts! BTW, Jack Barfield was at Bristol shaking down a 63 Split Window owned by the owner of Carolina Dragway also so I know what I am talking about!

Actually the vette is a joint venture between Jack Barfied, Jim Arpin, Jeff Miles and Bryan Morris. they call their team BAMM motorsports and while I am not saying it will never run XTF they built it mostly for TNT at Carolina, Big Dawg races in the Carolinas and Automatic ProMod races. The car has Barfields 870 CID motor in it. They have been dissappointed that it has only ran a best in the high 4.20's and recently sent the engine back to Fulton for some freshening and tinkering. I NEVER said you didn't know what you are talikng about. Your posts on all the message boards are usually informative and accurate.

Jeff miles broke the track record at Savanah River Dragway saturday night in an Auto-Pro-Mod running a 4.16..........not sure which car it was...

It wa the 63 vette and he went that 4.16 on a marginal track, I must admit the track was working good that night and with Big Sexy doing the tuning the vette is coming around.
