DSC_3462.JPG Marcus Birt  Shown here with Daughter Harley Birt also confirmed today that he has been released from his Tindle racing 2007 contract as driver and is now a free agent.

Quotes from another message forum has Tindle family members being quoted as comments following.

Joey Martin came into Tim's office on Wednesday morning on 4/7/07 so I don't know how everyone knew of this 24 hours ago. I guess someone knows Tim's business better than him. It was Joey Martin that said to Tim that he did not want to work on the 10.5 car anymore.  He stated he is a driver and that is what he wants to do. So that is where the plug was pulled on the 10.5 Team

Comments on this subject  From Joey Martin are as follows

In the Origonal agreement  with Tindle Racing was an agreement  reached Between Tim Tindle and Joey Martin that an ample time would be given to either parties  upon notice of seperation.  The notice was Given to Joey Martin from Tim Tindle that the 10.5 team would run until May of 2007.  Joey Martin stated to ORSCA after the tech infraction was given to Marcus on the quarter Panel wheel Humps that were placed on the car in the off season he saw no reason to rebuild the car wheel tubs just to race until May of 2007.  Martin also stated to outlawracing.com he was the deciding factor in the Tindle 10.5 team to go ahead and pull the plug on the team other than running it until May of 2007.  Martin also stated wasting time running until May or until the time given by ORSCA to fix all tech infractions on the car seemed to be time wasted and he could move on now to other things .  Martin also stated he would like to thank Tim Tindle for  the opertunity he has had over the last few years being involved with Tindle racing.  Martin stated he has no confirmed plans for racing in the future . He plans on taking this much needed time off to concentrate on some  needed seat time in his new ultra light plane he now owns.

Comments on this subject From Marcus Birt are as follows

Marcus Birt would Like to thank Tim Tindle and Sonya Tindle for the opertunity to be a part of a great racing family.  He would also like to thank Joey Martin for all his hard work for the Tindle Racing team.  I wish Tindle the best of luck in his 2007 promod racing season .  If Tindle racing ever needs anything from Me all Tim Tindle has to do is ask.  Marcus has no immediate plans on entering into another driving job for another team but states if the opertunity arises he would consider driving for a team.   Marcus also stated he would like to thank all the people involved  for allowing him to do what others only dream about.  Outlaw Dragracing  the most thrilling sport anyone could be a part of.

We would like to wish all the great guys from Tindle 10.5 racing the best of luck and look forward to seeing them soon at a race track somewhere.
